Using experience and knowledge gained from an objective twenty year exposure to working dogs, protection dogs, dog sports, multiple dog trainers, and as a student under the internationally renowned dog trainer and teacher Michael Ellis; Carl has personally worked to develop a reward based dog education program that will help dog owners better understand their companion canine and achieve their personal goals for their individual dog.
Carl, offers personalized in home canine education with an emphasis on helping your dog integrate into your specific environment and balancing the dog-owner interaction.

Jeff Phipps, Associate Trainer
Jeff has over 10 years experience and knowledge from exposure to working dogs, protection dogs, and multiple dog trainers. He has been a student of the DOGMAN for the past 2 years. Jeff has owned and worked with many different breeds of dogs. Currently he is the owner of 2 working German Shepherds, Layla and Zeus, a Saint Bernard, Rocky and a Toy Poodle, Julie. Combining his training with Carl and the many years spent studying and learning different philosophies and methods; Jeff is able to teach others how to build positive relationships with their canine companions.

Debbie Poloka, Associate Trainer

After more than twenty years in the professional business world, Deb’s love for dogs has prompted her to move in a new direction. Over two years of studying under DOGMAN Carl Osterholm, working at a kennel, and training multiple dogs of her own has given Debbie a broad experience in dog behavior and training. Deb’s assistance with DOGMAN training classes and personal dog training has now expanded to providing all of the team dogman professional canine services including dog walking and Pet First Aid & CPR instruction. Deb, who grew up with German Shepherds is also a personal growth and development coach for humans. She lives with her adopted German Shepherd, Dakota, who is an integral part of many DOGMAN training sessions and Ruger, her adopted Rottweiler.
