We were very fortunate to begin working with the DogMan Carl Osterholm, a few days after we brought our 8-week old Fox Red Lab puppy Heinz home.  From the initial in-home visit, we were amazed at Carl's knowledge and understanding of dogs.  Looking back, I know that Heinz would not be the dog he is today had we not started working with Carl from the beginning.  Heinz is a confident and energetic dog.  As a result of what we've learned from Carl's training, we've been able to channel that energy into positive behavior.

As we've had the opportunity to work with Carl, it is obvious that he takes a sincere interest in every dog that he works with.  His approach is not cookie-cutter training.  While he layers over core training practices that he has developed, he adapts his training to the individual needs of the dog and its environment.  I think that has a been a critical component to the success we experienced with Heinz's training.

Over the past several months, we have done countless in-home and park sessions, as well as puppy class and training sessions at Sandy Hill Kennels with Carl.  He is a true talent as a trainer, and has brought out the best in Heinz.  I can't believe how much we've learned and how fun it has been.  If any of your clients are looking for the best way to get their puppy started off on the right paw, I absolutely recommend working with the DogMan.
